I know it's been a while since I updated my blog. I've been rather busy buying a house, getting a higher education, trying to get back in shape, and working full time.
Hubby and I finally closed on our very first house this past weekend. I also turned 24 yesterday. We spent the weekend moving into our new house, painting our bedroom, unpacking the kitchen and living room (because those are the only rooms that really count, right?), and then yesterday evening we had family over for a birthday dinner, compliments of my parents' house warming gift to us: a grille.
While owning a house can certainly be a pain, and expensive, and a huge responsibility, I am so grateful to live in a house that is ours. I am grateful that the sale went through and that Hubby and I have been blessed with the opportunity to own a beautiful young house with a great backyard for our 2 little furry children.
So now I'm happy to be looking to the future while making sure to enjoy this wild ride. Hubby and I have so many plans, and thank goodness we have enough time to do any and all of what we want to with the right planning. As my focus turns a little more domestic, I hope to post more blogs about home improvement, decorating, use of space, etc. I'm far from done with my spiritual discovery, and my education comes absolutely first, so I may be a little slow to update my blog sometimes, but I promise I haven't abandoned it!
