My First Photography Post!

Please watch this video.  It gave me hope.

I have a 10.1 Megapixel Nikon D80.  It's my first and only DSLR camera.  Before it, I had a Nikon FG film camera from the 1980s, and before that I was using a 3.5 megapixel Canon point-and-shoot doo-dad.  My wish list, which is a never-ending expensive pit of despair, contains a Nikon D300, a few lenses (starting around $800 per lens), among other miscellaneous items like studio lights, reflectors, umbrellas, an actual studio space...  Well, you get the idea.

This video showed me that not having the best gear doesn't necessarily make or break you as a photographer.  The point of this video (as I understand it) is that it takes real skill and talent to take good photographs and that you can't rely on fancy equipment to do the work for you.  Granted, this photographer used professional lighting and retouching along with the iphone, but the point was that he used an iphone.

Anyway, fun stuff.  I'd love to hear feedback on this video.
